At Mile 100 of the George Parks Highway turn into the Talkeetna Spur Road. Follow the road to downtown Talkeetna, turn left on Main Street. The Talkeetna Roadhouse is 2 short blocks down, located on the left hand side, on the corner of Main Street and C Street.


The Talkeetna Roadhouse is within yards of the rail line making its location extremely convenient for our guests. Trains to and from the Denali National Park run daily for those wishing to visit. Alaska is the last place in the country where 'flag-stop service' is provided. Wave the train down until the engineer acknowledges you by sounding the train whistle. Once the train comes to a complete stop, the conductor will open the door and motion you aboard. No matter how visitors to the Talkeetna Roadhouse arrive and depart, some choose to ride the bus one direction and fly the other. This allows visitors to experience the Talkeetna area from different perspectives giving the traveler a trip truly to remember. Talkeetna has an airstrip in town which is primarily used by the many local Air Taxi services. While there is no scheduled air service to the Talkeetna Airport (TKA), private planes are allowed to land there.
